Sister and brother restaurateurs just re-opened their business in the heart of Winooski.

“It’s a perfect combination of ingredients for building community and allowing people to express their individualism within the community,” Sarah Haksell, the artist behind the Winooski mandala, said.

Tuesday’s Town Meeting voting was not the first time the “just cause” proposal landed on Winooski’s ballot.

“We will not willingly unlock the doors if our legal counsel has not advised us to do that,” Winooski Schools Superintendent Wilmer Chavarria said.
